1. Purpose
The manager can quickly add items by importing an Excel list of items to the program.
2. Instruction steps
To import the items, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Prepare an Excel list of items
1. Select Utilities\Item.
2. Click Import.
3. Click Download template here corresponding to Import list of items quickly to download the Excel template file.
4. Copy data to this Excel file. Then save and close the file.
Note:
- If SKU code and bar code columns are left blank, the program will automatically generate these codes. (SKU Code is the item ID and used to distinguish items instead of item name. It is used for internalmanagement like inventory management and report.)
- If the shop uses the bar code and label on the item to manage and scan the code upon sale (E.g.: items like Eyewear, Jewelry, Watch), you can enter this information in Bar code column.
Step 2: Import list of items from an Excel file
1. On Utilities\Items screen, click Import.
2. At Select source file. Check Import list of items quickly and click Select source file to upload the Excel file.
Select Update if you want to update the item information if SKU code of the item in the Excel file is the same as that in the program.
Select Skip if you want to keep the item which has the same SKU code as that in the program.
3. At Check data step, the program will show the number of valid and invalid items.
4. You can download the file including invalid items and edit them so as to be able to import them again to the program.
5. Click Continue.
6. At Import result step, the system will import valid items to the program and notify of the import result.
7. Click Complete.
8. After adding the item, you need to print label for it. View instructions here.
